By the time you hit the highway, familiar thoughts are running through your mind: Did I turn off the toaster? The coffeepot? The iron? :you wonder frantically. What if I left a burner on? What if we come home to a pile of ashes? Will the house be safe and secure while we are gone?
And, let's not forget the worry and concern about your pets and plants. Will my friend or neighbor take as much care with my faithful pet and beautiful plants nurtured from seeds as we do? Or will we come home to a sick pet and dying plants?
Thankfully, we offer a cure for this same old panic attack: petsitting. Maybe you don't have a friend or neighbor who can keep a steady watch over your home while you're away, or you are uncomfortable asking them because you feel it's such an imposition and might cramp their plans. This is where our petsitting service can be an invaluable aid to your sanity.
At Petsitting by Denise, we will dispatch a qualified and trained member of our staff to visit your home periodically throughout the day between 6am and 9pm to rotate lights, check each room for security, attend any pets, water plants (inside or outside), bring in the newspaper and collect the mail. In short, we ensure your pets and plants are well taken care of and your home presents a "lived in" appearance.
We even offer overnight services where sitters spend the night in your home. Sitters arrive between 7 - 9pm and leave between 6 - 8am. This also provides an extra special comfort to pets and a mid day visit can be added, if necessary.

PETSITTING SERVICES
Daily Visits
Our daily home visit schedule is perfect if you need to be away from home for a day or more. We can customize visit times that suit your pets' needs and schedule ranging from 1 to 3 visits each day while you are away. Morning visits are made between 6 and 9am while evening visits are between 6 and 8pm. Each visit will last long enough (usually about 20 minutes) to ensure your pet receives enough love and attention.
By using Petsitting by Denise, your pet is able to stay in the
comfort of your home. No strange noises, or smells. No strange food.
No kennels. No stress! You don't have to drop your pet off, or pick him up. He will be waiting at home for you when you return.
Daily visit include taking your pets outside - either in the back yard or for a walk - giving them fresh water and food, providing any medications (based on your instructions), scooping out litter boxes, turning on the television for them, playing and talking to them. We will also bring in the mail and newspapers so there is no need to stop delivery.
We will also rotate inside and outside lights around the home, make sure trash and recycle bins are placed out on appropriate days, water indoor and/or outdoor plants (small additional charge for more than 10 plants), raise or lower blinds and perform other tasks that give your home an occupied appearance so no one will know you are away. At each visit, a complete walk-through is done to ensure there are no problems within the home

Midday Walks
Mid-day dog walking is available for clients with lengthy working hours or needed pet care during lengthy illness or recuperation periods. Pets are taken outside, given treats and the television is turned on for them. We cater these walks for any dog, but especially for older dogs and puppies.
Regular walking for any dog reduces boredom, anxiety, barking and other behavioral problems. Try this service and come home to a satisfied, calm and contented friend.
Overnight Stays
For overnight stays, our bonded and insured sitters spend the night in your home. Sitters arrive between 7 - 8pm and leave between 6 - 8am. This provides an extra special comfort to pets and a mid day visit can be added, if necessary. Services from daily visits are included with an overnight stay.
In order to provide the best possible service for you, your pet and others, we have established the following policies.
PAYMENT
Payments for petsitting services are to be paid in full at the time of booking for new clients or on the first day service begins for regular clients. We accept only cash or personal checks. All checks must be made out to Petsitting by Denise.
CANCELLATIONS
ALL CANCELLATIONS FOR PETSITTING SERVICES WILL BE CHARGED A $25.00 CANCELLATION FEE.
Cancellation Fee (Does not apply to midday dog walk cancellations):
If the job total is under $300: $25 each instance Deposit
If the job total is over $300: 50% of the job total is due at the time of cancellation.
ALL CANCELLATIONS FOR OVERNIGHTS WILL BE CHARGED A 25% CANCELLATION FEE.
THESE DO NOT APPLY FOR MID DAY VISITS.
To notify us of a cancellation, you can leave a voice mail message at the office.
EARLY RETURNS
Cancellation of pre-paid visits due to your early return will not be refunded or credited towards future service visits.
HOLIDAY CHARGE
Holiday charges will be $10 additional per day for the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Christmas Eve.
VISITS BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8:00 PM AND 6:00 AM
Visits made between the hours of 8:00 pm and 6:00 am are subject to an additional $10 "tuck in" fee per late evening visit.
RESERVATIONS WITH LESS THAN 48 HOURS NOTICE
RESERVATION REQUESTS FOR SERVICES WITH LESS THAN 48 HOURS ADVANCE NOTICE WILL BE ASSESSED AN ADDITIONAL $20 FEE TO THE TOTAL BILL FOR SERVICES.
KEY COPIES
WE MUST HAVE 2 WORKING KEYS AT THE TIME OF THE INTERVIEW. ONE KEY IS FOR THE PBD OFFICE AND THE OTHER KEY IS LEFT OUTSIDE OF THE HOME IN A DESIGNATED PLACE. IF THE SITTER IS NOT ABLE TO RECEIVE 2 COPIES OF THE KEY PLEASE GIVE THE SITTER $5.00 TO HAVE A KEY MADE. IF KEYS ARE RETURNED BY MAIL A $5.00 CHARGE WILL BE INCURRED.
